Dubbed “Mitchell County’s answer to cabin fever,” the Mitchell County Historical Society will host its first “Winter Wingding” fundraiser starting at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Krapek Family Fine Arts Center located in the Cedar River Complex, Osage.

Proceeds will be used to fund future society projects.

The cost of the event is $25 per person (general admission, no reserved seating) which includes hors d’oeuvres, punch and entertainment.

The evening begins with hors d’oeuvres by Taste By: Unc’s Cheesecakes. Punch will be served in the CRC conference room with adult beverages being served in the museum atrium for a donation.

As part of the pre-show entertainment, Glenn Henricksen will provide piano music in the auditorium lobby.

Entertainment starts at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

The entertainment will feature two short films, “Looms,” and “Steel Mule.” Both films shed light on farm life and farm values. The music of the Six Mile Grove Band will follow.

A silent auction will be held along with several other pieces of entertainment.
