Southwest View of Planned Museum

The new main entrance will be on the west side.

West View of Planned Museum

The museum will be attached to the existing Smolick Building (on the left).

Floor Plan

This shows the general layout of the new museum as it is attached to the Smolick Building and the existing museum office.  The entrance on the west is into a foyer leading into the main museum.  The new museum office, where Starla works, is behind the foyer wall.

Cataloging and storage of artifacts is in the east room of the new museum.  The stairs lead to a second story for storage.  The cataloging and storage will be closed to the public.

New restrooms are in the hallway leading to the existing office area.  This office area will become the new library, research area and meeting room.

Some changes to the Smolick Building will take place since it is now attached to the new Museum.

Donations to MCHS are tax deductible and will help us with ongoing expenses.
